Enjoying the Weather Together

Josh has been working 6 days a week lately, so we try to squeeze as much fun into our Sundays as possible. The boys have just been delighted to 'rumpus' around with him outside.

Who can recall a Thanksgiving weekend in New Brunswick that was warm enough for a picnic in shorts?!

Open Farm Day

We skimmed the list of farms participating in Open Farm Day, and settled on one in Gagetown (namely because of the petting zoo aspect)...but it turns out that it was located next door to the Queen's County Fairgrounds.We had lots of fun with both!

"Milk Puffer"

Jane heard Simon in the washroom and walked in to see this.

When asked what he was doing, he replied: "Using the milk puffer. I'm puffing baby milk for Ruffie"

First Day of Preschool

Isaac started preschool. How is he old enough for this already? Where has the time gone?

Simon had a rough couple of weeks. He split his chin (as seen in this photo) and needed to have it glued back together. Thank goodness they try not to stitch kids these days!

 

Five minutes after this photo was taken, he touched the hot grate from our fire pit and burned the pads on all of his fingers. He spent the next 8 hours like this, with his hand in a bowl of water.

 It didn't stop him from eating a s'more with his other hand though!

Look at those chubby little legs. Does it get any sweeter than that??

Playground Tourists

One of our favourite fun/cheap/easy outings is to visit playgrounds in other parts of the city. We have 2 playgrounds very near to our house that the boys have mastered, and it's cute to watch how excited they get over some place new. Here are some pictures of the boys, delighted to check out the equipment in Forest Hills.

Gardeners

Isaac and Simon helped Nan plant some vegetables this year, and
enjoyed checking in on their plants whenever they visited Nan and Pop

 Simon loved whenever it was time to pick some...

 ...But Isaac isn't really a fan of getting his hands dirty.

Isaac's Pirate Party

Isaac celebrated his birthday a week early with all of his friends at a pirate-themed party. It was a sunny fun afternoon!
